Getting Started

1. I don't know where to start! Do you have tutorial available to help me get started setting up my company?

The User Guide is accessible from the Help... User Guide menu. This is in pdf format so you may print it for reference if you wish. You may also access our documentation and FAQ online.

We recommend that before you purchase CahabaProperty, you install and evaluate our software. To make this easy, we provide a free evaluation copy which is a fully functioning copy of CahabaProperty with demonstration databases so that you can see all the features and functionality without having to enter a lot of data.

And just in case you get stuck... you have support services included in your purchase; you get 30 days of extra setup assistance via phone or e-mail as part of the support that is included with purchase of the Standard Edition.

2. I am trying to upgrade from the Evaluation to the Standard version of CahabaProperty, but I am still seeing the Demonstration data that came with the evaluation copy. Why?

The databases for the demonstration database are still in the CahabaProperty\db folder.  A complete uninstall was not performed.  You should:

  1. Uninstall CahabaProperty
    • You can use the "Add/Remove Programs" option in the Windows XP Control Panel
    • You can use the “Programs and Features” option in the Windows Vista Control Panel.
  2. Reboot your machine.
  3. Remove the CahabaProperty directory from your C: drive.
    • Right click the Start menu and choose Explore. 
    • Find the CahabaProperty folder in the C:\Program Files\CahabaCreek Software folder. 
    • Right-click CahabaProperty and then choose Delete from the pop up menu.
  4. Install the Standard Version.
  5. Reboot your machine.
  6. Launch CahabaProperty and sign in.
