Version 5.3 - April 2012

New Features and Maintenance

    2012 941 IRS Tax forms are in this release!

    The Apple MAC platform is supported when running CahabaWorks in a Virtual PC.

    Payroll:
    ♦  New Liabilities Paid Report.
    ♦  Some error messages have been updated to be more detailed.
    ♦  Could not type leap year date as payroll ending date (2/29). Had to use calendar.

    Contributions:
    ♦  Added ability to undeposit and/or reopen batches.

    Financials:
    ♦  Enhancements to Trial Balance Report.

    Members:
    ♦  Print the system primary and personal primary phone numbers for Head of Household (if different).

    Ease of Use:
    ♦  New Renew Support menu item that used stored ChurchID information to fill in the web form.
    ♦  Enhancements to the Update Version menu items.
    ♦  Demo Database now has 2012 data.

Bugs Fixes:

    ♦   Resolved problem with financial data not being saved after a payroll item had been deleted until exit/re-entry.
    ♦   Bank Register list now refreshes automatically when new funds are associated with it.

    More 2012 Tax Updates are in this release!

    Payroll:
    ♦  Payroll Summary Report now includes only ACTIVE employees.
    ♦  Update State Withholding tables for the following states.
       - California
       - North Dakota

    Financials:
    ♦  Added ability to request budget vs. actual reports at any account level of your budget and get it and it's subaccounts only.

Bugs Fixes:

    ♦   When entering addresses using the pop-up dialog they were not being saved to the database.
    ♦   Register report did not show split details for deposits.
    ♦   Payroll Items could be deleted even if they were still assigned to an employee.
    ♦   1096 Report for 2011 marked 1099-K instead of 1099-MISC on 2011 forms.
    ♦   1099 formatting issue on bottom of page.
    ♦   Member import created errors in member database.


Version 5.2.2 and 5.2.1 - January 2012

New Features and Maintenance

    2012 Tax Updates are in this release!

    Version 5.2.2 removes the Warning message about 2011 tax tables that appeared in the 5.2.1 update! This is the only change.
    Version 5.2.1 changes are shown below:

    Payroll:
    ♦  Update Social Security salary ceiling for 2012.
    ♦  Update State Withholding tables for the following states.

Bugs Fixes:

    ♦  Entering budget information was very slow.
    ♦   Premier Edition Only: Multiple people working in banking on different accounts were impacted by refresh of an account they were not viewing.
    ♦   Premier Edition Only: When running on WinNT, New York State Tax was incorrect on salary amounts where the state withholding amount should have been zero.

    2011 IRS Tax Forms are in this release!

    Members:
    ♦  More flexibility in the Information included in the Picture Directory and Member Listings
    ♦  Allow a primary phone number to be selected per person.

    Payroll:
    ♦  Allow user to change the quarter to which a liability payment has been credited.
    ♦  Add additional information to the Payroll Liabilities view so you can see credited quarter and accrued liabilities.
    ♦  Add warning if a 941 is requested and liabilities are not paid.
    ♦  Tax forms for 2011 (w-2 , w-3, 1099, 1096…)

    Miscellaneous / Ease of Use Changes:
    ♦  Add a link to the Download Update Install Program web page off the HELP menu. Churches with stored IDs will go to their personal update page immediately.
    ♦  Add a release message to the notice that a new release is available. Allow this to also be displayed off Help menu.

Bugs Fixes:

    ♦  When assigning Grade there is no K-5 in the list.
    ♦  Credit card split not working when only one item placed in split.
    ♦  Funds associated with bank accounts are not treated correctly when an “other deposit” is included on a contribution batch.
    ♦  When pledges are entered it takes a long time for them to be accepted.
    ♦  CW Service crashes when a YEC is requested (Premier Edition)

    ♦  AP does not pay attention to associated funds when bills are paid.

    ♦  Transactions scheduled for first of month cannot be skipped.
    ♦  Monthly package doesn’t have headers.
    ♦  Vendor Payment report nullPointer exception.
    ♦  941 report paid amount does not always match the liabilities to pay amount in GUI.

    ♦  Make it easier to differenciate between members with the same first and last name.

    ♦  Added a new Batch report with summary information.
    ♦  Added additional options for formatting of contribution letters / reports.
    ♦  Bank account to default to last one used when depositing batches.
    ♦  When funds are locked to bank accounts, auto-generate any required AJE's if the deposit is not split appropriately.
